SME - Rewards Consultant - UK - Contract - Mobile Telecoms - Surrey

I am currently recruiting for a Reward/Comps & Benefits Expert, this is a contract position; initially 3 months to cover maternity. The role will be based in Surrey and you will be working with mobile comms.

As the Main Point of Contact for the UK HR Operations, the UK C&B Manager is the driver for all C & B projects within the UK, working with regional colleagues to ensure alignment on various programmes

Purpose of the job

*To drive the development of UK programmes and implementation of regional programmes within the UK:
Understand UK business requirements and work closely with HR to ensure that all compensation and benefit requirements are delivered
Understand the UK market place to ensure that the UK C&B deliverables are competitive
Work closely with the head of UK HR to agree and drive implementation of key programmes which will align with both regional and Group C&B requirements but also take into account legal and IR implications.

Operational responsibilities

Main responsibilities - in close co-operation with Regional C&B programme managers and Regional HR&O Business Partners - are as follows:
*Project manage locally key regional and local programmes, including the C&B calendar of events within a part unionised business
*Ensure for the assigned programmes, that global compensation and benefits policies, directives and instructions are audited and implemented correctly.
*Develop and implement local programmes specific compensation and benefit strategies, policies, directives and instructions to support the Group strategy and local business needs.
*Maintain knowledge of local external best practice
*Maintain knowledge of legislative changes which will impact the design/implementation of the specified programmes
*Recognise emerging local problems/issues and design and implement innovative compensation and benefits solutions in line with programme area
