MES Engineer

Our Client in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a MES Engineer to join their team for a long-term ongoing contract. This position will require up to 50% international travel, and the resource will be paid for full travel time and full expenses.

Technical Skills

1. Required (in order of importance)
a. Expert (3+ years) level knowledge of MS-SQL server 2005 or 2008
b. Expert (3+ years) level knowledge of C#
c. Expert (3+ years) level knowledge of Visual Studio environment
d. Intermediate to expert level knowledge of MS-Reporting services
e. Basic knowledge of ASP.NET

f. Intermediate level knowledge of Windows security (server or XP)
i.NET/Web Services
ii. OPC HDA/OPC DA/OPC AE
iii. DCOM

2. Nice to Haves
a. Experience with 2008 Server security
b. Experience with virtual environments
c. Experience with and troubleshooting in networking environments.

Experience

1. Required (in order of importance)
a. Manufacturing or MMM Industries
b. Quality assurance, and related quality documentation focus
c. Understand scope, push back or escalate as appropriate when scope creep is identified
d. Identify project risks and communicate those with options to the Project Manager or Technical Lead.
e. Willing to travel
f. Identify when problem escalation or resolution is required

g. Ability to interact with customers
i. Process improvement methodologies (Lean, 6-Sigma, etc).
ii. Interpret and understand process mapping, and P&ID drawings
iii. Verbal communication skills
iv. Interpret customer requests and ability to respond in non-tech-speak
v. Listening

h. Written documentation skills - sees value in documentation and process (avoid re-inventing the wheel).
