Our client is one of New Zealand largest companies and they are on the look out for a GIS Data Specialist to work with the Network Planning Team with high quality geospatial data and information analysis to ensure investment programmes are developed and targeted to meet stakeholder needs and company business plan.

Key responsibilities include
Providing direction, support, and insight to the data integrity team working on data error rectification (specifically relating to NetMAP and geospatial information).
Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with customers, process partners, geospatial data suppliers and peers.
Providing geospatial information analysis and support for business case preparation and other business decisions
Developing mapping representation of network coverage and capability and project rollout programmes
Working alongside the Records team in evaluating current NetMAP and other records practices against established best practice benchmarks and wherever necessary take remedial action to ensure and improve the availability of service capability and coverage information to our customers and stakeholders.
Taking a leadership role in developing the group's current and future strategic and operational direction with regards to the availability of Geospatial data and information for internal use and external publication.

In order to be successful for the role you will need the following experience:
At least 5 years of experience with GE Smallworld, MapInfo or other GIS systems.
Excellent understanding of Telecommunications or other utility networks topology.
Experience using and manipulating geospatial data to support business outcomes.
Relevant tertiary (or equivalent) qualification in CAD design, or GIS systems preferred.
