Role; Test Lead - IPTV - Multimedia - DUBLIN
Project based role based in Dublin, Ireland for initial 6 month duration. You will be responsible for the roll out of a new top box. The role will involve set-up of a rigorous testing system whilst leading two QA testers. You will be liaising with the existing test team throughout the project.
Background:
This is a Test Coordinator/Manager role that is part of a dynamic multi-disciplined team delivering an exciting next generation TV and multimedia service into the telecommunications and TV market in Ireland. Working in a company that is a Pan-European leader in telecommunications and TV services, the key function of the role is to manage the end to end testing of CPE and core platforms that will support the successful launch of this new and highly innovative service into the Irish market.
Role:
- Experienced Test Coordinator with responsibility for developing test strategy and test plans and over-see test routines on the project
- Manage end to end testing of the project including CPE and core infrastructural components
- Work closely with subject matter experts to develop a reasonable knowledge of the components, including the associated cloud infrastructure and its interfaces with the local network and systems
- Translate the business requirements for the product to contribute to the test strategy and produce low level test plans specific to the local organisation
- Work with test resources to develop detailed test procedures that align with and support code release cycles
- Provide guidance to local technical teams on test methodologies and best practice
- Plan the execution of test phases and coach testers on the creation of test scenarios
- Implement a test management and reporting tool
- Oversee the completion and reporting of test results, bugs, impact assessment and conclusions
Required:
- 5 years in a test coordination, test manager or test lead role, preferably within a telecommunications or TV operations environment
- Substantial experience in development of test strategy, plans and routines
- Experience in IP Networking and data centre or lab infrastructure implementation and testing
- Knowledge of and experience with set up of test management tools and automation
