Description
An exciting opportunity is currently available in Dublin, Ohio for a Security Consultant. This position is located in the Public Sector through an IT Service Provider.The successful applicant will interact with business partners, development-, network-, and operations teams. Candidate will be the liaison for several teams and candidate's role will be to indentify security issues within the client's infrastructure and web hosting architecture applications. The candidate will work with developers to locate risks and vulnerabilities, whilst advising the development teams on solutions.
Specific requirements:
- Familiar with standard project development cycles and processes (Waterfall - Agile)
- Experience developing complex interface between large enterprise system including Tax system and financial system (payment, collection)
- Experience with security directory services such as Active Directory and LDAP as well as operating system environments
- Experience with security for database project for large scale database and file system
- Experience with implementing encryption solutions
- Experience with host and network intrusion protection solutions
- Experience with network and application level Firewalls
- Strong familiarity with experience in manual application security testing
- Web Application Security
- Secure Development Coding and Practices
- Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)
- Web Application Hosting Database
- Web Security Scanner
- Cyber Risk Assessment
- Identity and Access Management
- Security Design/Penetration Testing/Incident Response. - Some Knowledge of Networking Concepts/Technologies/Protocols
- Domain Name System (DNS) Tools
- Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
- Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)/Transport Layer Security (TLS)
- Load Balancing - 4+ years as a Security Analyst/Engineer - Secure Web Architecture and Web Application Preferred
- 3+ year experience with risk assessment and/or risk analysis
- 3+ year experience working with security policies
- 3+ years of data analysis & reporting experience
- Experience with tax domain (state or federal agency) be plus
- IRS 1075 Publication (Tax Information Security Guideline) experience a big plus
- CISSP, CEH, CISM, GIAC certification is preferred
