Ihre Aufgaben:
- Provide full-custom physical design tool environment including automated routing solutions, which perfectly fits to designers' requirements
- Evaluation, implementation & support of tools & features for the RF/MS physical design environment in close cooperation with respective EDA vendor
- Improvement of methods in the field of RF/MS physical design
- Interface to EDA vendors, technology and modeling group, support of internal and external customers Areas of Responsibility:
- Provision of full custom layout tool functionality, including schematic/connectivity driven layout flow (based on Cadence tool Virtuoso Layout Suite L & XL)
- Provision of an automated routing solution for full custom and mixed-signal designs (based on Cadence CSR tool)
- Perform trainings for the RF/MS physical design environment
- Development and improvement of methods in the field of RF/MS physical design For the mentioned tools:
- Integration of tools/flows into Freeway, adaptation to existing interfaces: Planning, concept development, specification, implementation
- Quality assurance: component test, test within schematic-to-layout-flow; participation in complete flow quality assurance
- Common development for next releases or versions together with tool vendor keeping the designer close in a loop
- Bug reporting and tracking; enhancement requesting and tracking
Ihre Qualifikation
- Experience in physical design and/or design automation for analog / mixed signal IC's
- Experience on how to deal with EDA companies
- Software concept design and development
- Knowledge of RF/mixed-signal design process peculiarities and CMOS semiconductor technologies
- Specific knowledge in physical design, verification and place & route tools
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso Layout Suite L&XL
- Experience with Cadence CSR (aka. CSBR=Cadence Space Based Router)
- Experience with Mentor Calibre
- Experience with Cadence Assura / QRC
- Analytic work methodology and problem analysis
- Technical English and presentation skills
- Experience in programming (Perl, TCL, Shell Scripting, C, C++, Skill)
