Description
The Business Intelligence team is in charge of the development of Management Reports. The team is located in the ADM (Application development and Maintenance) division. The key skill required to work in Business Intelligence is to be interested by both the business world and the IT world. For that reason, we are looking for a person with an IT background and a strong business interest.
Role:
- You design the technical ETL solution (Define the technical interface, specs for the source systems, the ETL processes from landing zone till storage) and develop the solution with IBM DataStage.
- You design the physical relational datamodel in collaboration with the DBA.
- You define the scheduling requirements for ETL processes in the Datawarehouse.
- You develop & test (unit test, functional test and data profiling) the ETL processe
- You design the Cognos framework according to business needs and develop it
- You prepare the releases & installation instructions
- You collaborate with the users to build them the adequate reporting in Cognos.
Your main responsibilities will be to drive Business Intelligence developments.
Based on your depth knowledge of both Business and Business Intelligence you will act as catalyst in order to identify pragmatic solutions.
You will identify the right balance between Cost and Quality/Completeness.
Profile:
Mandatory skills:
- Development with IBM Datastage: min 4 years.
- Development with Cognos: min 4 years.
- Senior person, you have technical skills and business knowledge as well.
- You master both IBM datastage and Cognos reporting.
- You can justify of several applications developed using those technologies.
- You can also design the datamodel in a Datawarehouse context (Dimensional data modelling for Datawarehouse and data-mart applications)
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence methodology, and BI Cubes is clearly an asset.
