Service Desk Technician, Hamilton, Canada, FRENCH Speakers

My client is looking for a Service Desk Technician for a long term project based in Hamilton, Canada, with the following responsibilities:

- Provide L1 technical support through phone, chat and email channel
- Technicians utilize knowledge of networking, hardware, and software to answer, qualify, and resolve client issues within L1 scope
- Overall responsibility of raising Incidents, Service Request (Catch & Dispatch) and answering How-To queries in the scope of L1
- Responsible for initial triage of inbound calls daily ensuring that the proper information and troubleshooting steps are completed before either resolving the trouble or sending to the next level team
- Complete and thorough screening and accurate trouble ticket creation that reflects at lease the minimum data fill needed to resolve client issues
- Communicate progress, set proper expectations, and verify resolution with clients
- Technicians must be team oriented, have experience in a call center environment
