The company
Join a large Government department as a strategic and highly skilled Enterprise Architect for a long term contract role. In this exciting opportunity you will play a critical role within a highly skilled technical team and create enterprise solutions across the infrastructure applications software space.
This is a true enterprise role which will see the successful candidate working across diverse technologies in a highly strategic role with a company who invest in quality solutions.
The Opportunity
- Delivering expertise in defining Enterprise Architecture policies, standards, principles, reference architectures and procedures for development of the Superstream initiative;
- Developing and implementing enterprise-wide capability roadmaps and impact assessments to support business outcomes;
- Lead the development of strategies within one or more domains of specialisation for the SuperStream initiative;
- Deliver solutions with a large degree of independence across the enterprise architecture to support business needs of the SuperStream initiative;
- Apply high level judgement in the assessment of solutions and provide assurance that they comply with the enterprise architecture and IT standards; and
- Display, educate and transfer knowledge to staff; guide and mentor less experienced employees and work collaboratively to achieve business outcomes.
Skills and Requirements
- Extensive architecture experience, including demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in managing and developing architecture within one or more of the following doMains: Enterprise Architecture; Infrastructure Architecture; Application or software architecture;, and IT Strategy;
- Ability to quickly understand people and processes in large organisations to effectively assess information in developing relevant plans and solving business problems;
- Experience or capability to apply specific skills in the Architecture domains including: Systemic thinking, system modelling and design skills (eg universal language, information engineering, structured techniques);
- Technology design skills (eg component design, OO Design, database or infrastructure architecture); and
- Facilitation skills.
