Description
A key client based in London is looking for a Mechanical Development Engineer with AutoDesk Inventor experience. This will be for an initial 3 month contract.
Role:
You will be working alongside multidisciplinary teams, to design and develop mechanical components and systems, within the research/development department. Also you will be using AutoDesk Inventor to produce 3D models, detail component drawings and assembly drawings.
These drawings will be either sheet-metal designs or injection plastic moulding. Therefore you must have experience in designing in both disciplines.
If you have any experience working on low to medium volume product development for industrial applications will be advantageous.
Skills:
AutoDesk Inventor (4+ years)
Experience in designing sheet metal welded fabrications and precision machined components. Knowledge of plastic injection moulding, aluminium extrusion design and pneumatic systems would be advantageous.
Experience of using AutoDesk Mechanical Desktop
An understanding of FMEA, Value Analysis, Design for Manual Assembly and Value Engineering techniques.
Experience working within Food, Medical or Pharmaceutical industries.
