ADGA is looking for a Deputy Project Manager for an exciting new opportunity!

Duration of Assignment: one (1) year, with three (3) options years

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Ottawa National Capital Region

Security Clearance: Must be hold a valid Secret clearance

As the Deputy Project Manager you may be required to The DPM may be required to provide project management support for various projects. These could range from a DRDC S&T TDP or an ARP to larger projects such as the development and implementation of capital projects, in which case the Commanding Officer of the CFWC would be the PM.

You may also be required to:

  • Maintain the project implementation plan and charter and other project documents;
  • Prepare and maintain the WBS and overall project schedule;
  • Develop and maintain of the Risk Management Plan;
  • Track and evaluate risk and indicate when risk mitigation strategies identified in the Risk Management Plan need to be executed;
  • Implement and formulate the appropriate metrics, monitoring and communications process to ensure project success;
  • Prepare and deliver approved briefings;
  • Prepare monthly reporting requirements; and
  • From a project perspective, track current year financials and support the PM with analysing and predicting future spending.

The Successful candidates must have the following:

  • Minimum of three (3) years combined experience in the last ten (10) years closing, planning and coordinating Project Management activities for public sector project(s).
  • Minimum of three (3) years combined experience in the last ten (10) years closing, preparing and maintaining Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and project schedules.
  • Must have a valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Demonstrated experience in the last ten (10) years preparing and maintaining project risk plans and implementing risk mitigation strategies.

In order to be considered for this opportunity of a Deputy Project Manager you MUST have one of the following:

  • A degree from a Canadian University OR
  • A diploma from a Canadian College OR
  • A Canadian Forces Command and Staff College qualifications OR
  • A minimum 10 years service in the Canadian Forces in the last 20 years
