This role will be responsible for producing visual solutions to the communication needs of the clients, using a mix of creative skill and commercial awareness. Working closely with the marketing team, this role will create quality visuals that will capture target audience attention.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to understand their needs, interpret their needs and create content on brief and on time
  • Developing design briefs by gathering information and data to clarify design issues
  • Thinking creatively to produce new ideas
  • Using innovation to redefine a design brief and meet the constraints of cost, time and client
  • Multi-tasking: graphic designers often work on more than one design brief at a time
  • Using a wide range of media, including photography and computer aided design
  • Producing accurate and high quality work
  • Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief
  • Keeping abreast of developments in IT, particularly design programs
  • Working well in a team, with printers, copywriters, other designers, marketers, website designers, developers and marketing specialists
  • Working to tight deadlines
  • Own the evolution and delivery of email campaign creative and the delivery and maintenance of templates
  • Work across various projects including banner advertising, Flash creative games, web site graphics production and maintenance
  • Develop web site storyboards
  • Banner ad design and delivery
  • Coordination of the image library
  • Additional tasks as directed

Key requirements:

  • Competent visual design skills and the ability to produce compelling creative
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Image Ready, Flash and HTML.
  • CSS and Javascript ability an advantage
  • Print design skills and impeccable typography skills
  • Strong skill set in website/application design with a solid background in designing graphical user interfaces.
  • Fine attention to detail
  • Ability to work to instruction within tight deadlines
  • Experience with press advertisements and/or bulk-mailing campaigns an advantage
