Description
Beacon Hill Technologies is working with a local Client located south of Akron, Ohio, to staff a QA contract on a 10-12 month basis.*Candidates must have reliable transportation as the Client is not located in an area where public transportation is not available. *CORP-TO-CORP CANDIDATES NEED TO BE AVAILABLE FOR AN ONSITE INTERVIEW, PAID FOR AT THE CANDIDATE'S EXPENSE.* KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Design, development and execution of custom test cases and test scripts for Product Lifecycle Management Software and reports
- Perform application software testing for applications, customizations, patches and new versions of applications
- Participate in review of project requirements and functional design documents in order to ensure testing coverage
- Employ Client's software development life cycle methodology and project methodology in build and test phases of PLM projects
- Provide approval of software applications for turnover to business teams for final testing and release to production
SELECTION CRITERIA
Education- Bachelors Degree (prefer major in MIS, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering)
- 2-5 years application/software testing or equivalent
Preferred experience:
- Automated testing tools (IE Winrunner, HP Quick Test Pro, etc.)
- Writing test cases and test plans
- Test case execution
- Defect investigation and review with development team
- Logging/documenting defects during the test execution phase
- Reported test results to the project manager
- Understanding of systems development life cycle, design principles, and standard IS testing methodologies
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to build business relationships, internalize business requirements, and interact with users at various levels
- Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Must have good problem solving skills
- Must have the ability to multitask and drive assignments to completion
