Software Configuration Management Architect
For our client in Noord Brabant in the Netherlands we are currently looking for 2 experienced SCM architects/senior consultants.
Start: ASAP
Duration of contract: Minimum of 1 year
Responsibilities:
You will:
* Be a part of the architecture team for short, middle and long term developments within the software development environment currently used by 600 software developers.
* be active in all projects relates to the current Software Configuration Management solution in 1 of the worlds biggest ClearCase archives.
* play a key role in the determination and development of a configuration management solution for the future.
Job profile:
* You have to a communications partner for the system architects, in order to develop a roadmap together for the development of software within the organisation.
* DEsign the architecture for the middle and long term throughout the entire organisation.
* Be involved with the set up of the architecture of IT projects that are running currently or are going to start on short term.
* Good skills to guide the current situation towards the architecture set up, building bridges between the current situation and the to-be situation
* Innovative mentality, do not lose sight of reality.
Experience:
* + 10 year experience with configuration management (SCM) and related tooling and processes.
* Very good knowledge of and practical experience with:
o ClearCase is preferred, however knowledge on other SCM tools are welcome
o Development environments and strategy in general. (must)
o Perl/Shell/Solaris/Unix/Linux (unix/Scripting is a must.

* Problem solving capacities
* Pragmatic, practical, flexibel and commited to quality.
* Personality is very important, you need to be able to communicate with people of different levels of the organisation.
* Strenght to convince others of your opinion and architecture in a very business facing role.
* Helicopterview, being able to identify the right priorities and act on these.
Other information: you have to be willing to commit to our clients organisation for a longer period of time, at least 1 year!
