Description
My client is currently seeking a Marine Scientist for an initial 3 month contract based in East Kilbride starting on the 3rd of September 2012. It is essential that you hold a Current Basic Disclosure for this role issued within the last 12months.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare sample bottles for routine surveys
- Prepare sediment samples for analysis
- Perform simple inorganic analyses
- Enter data into the database
- Assist with the calibration and maintenance of field equipment.
Essential:
- HND in a Scientific discipline
- Experience of working in a laboratory
- Must be able to use basic laboratory equipment.
- Careful and methodical
- Accurately record observations.
- Flexible
- Disclosure Scotland Certificate
Desirable:
- Good communication
- Data manipulation and analysis
