Description
IT Technology Architect required for telecommunications company based in Dublin. This will be an initial 6 month contract role with the possibility of being a long term assignment.
Management have a clear cost/benefit information, facilitating appropriate development decisions
Take architectural ownership of specific elements of the overall companies systems estate
Ensure Group Technology architectures align with target architectures
Provide technology expertise and consultancy across Group Technology and the wider group
Engage early in the technical assessment to better influence the project definitions so as to align with technical capability
Ensure the capacity of the key platforms is considered in solution designs in order to meet future demand
Participate in governance steering & post investment reviews (PIR's) to ensure best practice & most cost effective solution designs are the norm
Work closely with Principal Design Architects from across Group Technology, ensuring co-ordination across the teams eg setting up joint teams for all areas of governance including design guidelines & blueprints
Influence commercial decisions to ensure optimal alignment with technical capabilities
Work closely with strategic vendors, adopting a partnership approach and intelligently getting the best out of the vendors for Companies benefit.
3rd Level Degree in Telecommunications Discipline & working knowledge of Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF)
2-3 years experience in the Role of Senior Technology Architect
