Senior Contract BI Cognos Developer required for 12 month contract, Dublin.
This client is a large Financial Services organisation with significant operations in Dublin. Joining a large DWH/BI team, you will take a lead development role in the on-going development of the company's platforms in a Microsoft/IBM & Cognos environment. You will be a senior Cognos developer with ideally excellent experience in a banking/financial services environment. This is an urgent requirement for a 12 month contract (highly competitive day rate)
Key for this role:
- At least 5 years' experience with IBM/COGNOS Data and Framework manager tools and solutions (Version 8+)
- You will have had a key lead role in the design, architecture and delivery of DWH/BI solutions
- You will have excellent experience in the writing of detailed tech specs
- You will have extensive experience with Business Intelligence principles of warehouse & Kimball design.
- You will be an expert in the principals of BI governance and best practice
- Excellent experience working in a Microsoft SQL environment.
- You will be an outstanding team player, with excellent verbal and communication skills.
Ideal:
- Ideally will have at least 5 years in banking or financial services environments
- Knowledge of Microsoft SSIS, SSAS (2005) would be an advantage
