We have an immediate opportunity available in Dallas Texas for experienced OS Developer for Wireless Hand Sets with the followings requirements:

OS Multimedia Developer:

Position Information:

The OS (Operating Systems Team) is a core group that develops the Kernel, device drivers, memory management, file system and the multimedia framework for wireless devices. As a developer you have solid analytical skills, problem-solving skills and thrive in a fast paced high change environment. You will design, develop, integrate and debug device drivers code using Real Time OS. You will be working with different teams to make changes based on new HW designs and investigating complex power and performance issues found on devices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
  • Design and implementation of components of a Real Time Embedded OS
  • Developing code to manage hardware peripherals within Embedded devices
  • Creating desktop tools to interface with Embedded devices
  • Participating in low-level debugging efforts with the ASIC, circuit board, and power groups.
  • Debugging memory and performance issues.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Software Systems Engineering or equivalent
  • 4 years of software development experience in C/C++ on Real Time Embedded OS.
  • Solid understanding of Real Time OS concepts.
  • Developing code to manage hardware peripherals within Embedded devices
  • Creating desktop tools to interface with Embedded devices
  • Participating in low-level debugging efforts with the ASIC, circuit board, and power groups
  • Co-ordinating project activities within the group, and will have ownership of certain design areas
  • Experience with Developing test engineering systems, windows applications, and drivers to interact with handset devices, using a variety of languages and programming
