My Milton Keynes based client is looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to take on a 6 month contract.
Due to the nature of the work, all contractors must have SC clearance prior to start date.
My client is looking for a Commercial Finance Manager/Security Cleared Finance Manager/SC Cleared Accountant with strong commercial finance experience and customer facing skills to take forward our capability for our chosen services and markets. You will lead or support, as the case may be, on:
*Financial aspects commercial deal negotiations & partnering relationships;
*Financial aspects of agreement definition and risk/liability cover;
*Future strategy in terms of customer, product and service enhancement; and,
*Financial analysis and advice to colleagues and improving efficiency in our service delivery and processes.
The Commercial Finance Manager/Security Cleared Finance Manager/SC Cleared Accountant will contribute to the effective implementation of new agreements in a way that allows Finance Business Partners a clear understanding of all risks and obligations going forwards, as well as working with the client's and others on the implementation of financial policy, processes and governance for external customer contracts in government and wider markets.
The scope of the work undertaken will include:
*Advising, assisting and challenging Account and Bid Managers with financial aspects of their projects, helping to ensure their successful planning, negotiation, management, delivery and evaluation.
*Providing financial advice and support on high value or complex negotiations, liaising both within the client and industry. This is in terms of bids, pricing, contract agreements and partnering arrangements.
*Identifying improvements in practices and procedures along with delivery and disseminating best practice, ensuring that it is consistent with Departmental and Government policy, procedures and guidelines.
*Providing financial analysis and support for business improvement, new product, service and market development and strategic business programmes.
*Development of KPIs and internal group PIs and enhancements to current reporting arrangements.
*Financial governance at formal gate reviews of business cases, bids and proposals.
The Commercial Finance Manager/Security Cleared Finance Manager/SC Cleared Accountant should have skills in:
*Information management and manipulation - Ability to demonstrate good spreadsheet, analytical and information presentation skills
*Teamwork - particularly supporting non-finance professionals and working within or supporting cross-functional teams
*Customer Relationships - experience of working at all levels with a diverse workforce in a growth driven sales environment.
*Communication - highly developed written and oral communication skills and presentation skills.
*Qualifications - Qualified Accountant familiar with IAS, IFRS requirements as well as working within the business.
*Risk Awareness. Knowledge of risk management/risk assessment and the financial impact of contractual conditions.
