Senior Project Manager required for a 6 month contract Based in Cavan/Blanchardstown.

Responsibility for all aspects of project implementation through industry standard best practice methodology. Delivery of projects under this methodology including, planning, resource management, project controls, management reporting, risk and financial management. Required to plan out the creation of the business requirements, Project Initiation Document (including business case, governance model, risk, quality and communication strategy, definition of stakeholder engagement), development and test phases and all business operational activities. Where applicable run a number of these projects individually or under a programme of work.

This role is critical to the organisation in ensuring that effective solutions and operational changes can be delivered to meet the dynamic and time critical challenges of the business

IT/Computer Science Qualification
10 years Project management experience across IT and the business eg in an IT applications, or infrastructure environment and have managed the business operational changes on these projects.
Implemented projects with a budget in excess of €1 million or a programme of work with a budget in excess of €3 million.
Excellent communication skills - ability to provide valuable information related to the project status in a timely and effective manner.
Strong Negotiation skills - maintaining relationships with stakeholders & have the ability to influence stakeholders from across the business units.
Team building - assists the team members in understanding their roles and responsibilities
Team Building - Ensure as part of a programme of work team members are delivering project components as required
Excellent working knowledge of a range of project development life cycle(s) across Mainframe, Client Server and web based technology.
Ability to continuously improve project management processes, tools and templates as required for the project.
Acute understanding and ability to demonstrate expertise in Quality Management, Project planning, Risk & Change management
Solid understanding of PM tools & techniques
Proven ability of driving Requirements gathering & analysis.
Industry standard PM qualification

Leadership - inspiring others to create a vision and strive to achieve the goals
Conflict resolution skills - assisting in resolution of any project conflicts so that the project team members/stakeholders all feel part of the process.
