Description
We have an urgent requirement for an Infrastructure Specialist for a 3 month contract based in Dublin city centre. This role is key in the delivery of a large Infrastructure project onto a customer site.
The role of the Infrastructure includes
- Design, planning and implementation of IT Infrastructure projects in the Information Technology space
- Design and build of the IT infrastructure as well as operational transition to the production environment
- Attend weekly operational meetings and provide senior management within the Infrastructure team with appreciate information
- You will act as a coordination point for IT Infrastructure & Security during the life of Project
Some Key Responsibilities
- You shall work closely with Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist to design IT Infrastructure solutions
- Partner with Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist to implement IT Infrastructure solutions
- Follow best practices when building, configuring, testing and deploying new IT Infrastructure
- Review business requirements and translate into IT Infrastructure deliverables
- Identifies, assesses and minimizes project risks to successful project completion
- Support and contribute to IT Infrastructure projects to deliver new and change activities into production
- Serve as solution delivery expert for the design & implementation of assigned areas
Experience Required
- 5+ years experience in a similar role
- Experience of implementing IT infrastructure projects ideally within financial services
- Experience in designing, building, testing and implementing IT Infrastructure solutions
- Ability of following best practices in the design, build and implementation process Experience with Windows Server 2003 and Server 2008,
- Experience with VMware Esx/Exsi, Vsphere, Vcenter
- Storage: SAN (HP - MSA), NAS(Isilon) administration
Experience with Citrix
- Active Directory, IIS, DHCP, DNS, NLB, Cluster
This is a daily rate contract paying depending on experience, also this has a high possibility of extending beyond the initial 3 months
