Job Title: Solutions Architect
Type: Contract- 6-12 Months
Location: Alpharetta, GA 30004
Our client is seeking a Solutions Architect for a 6-12 month contract in Alpharetta, GA. The Solution Architect will be responsible for understanding our client's business partner needs, designing the foundation for the order management process, leveraging current application stack where appropriate, and recommending additional tools or replacement applications to meet the business needs. This role may require occasional travel, weekend, or evening work as needed to support special projects.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage architectural vision and over all order management foundation.
- Develop architectural guidelines for the recommended solution as future growth guidelines.
- Perform system and network modelling, analysis and planning to implement solutions.
- Research software and hardware products or services to find best solutions to meet business requirements.
- Translate business requirements to the development/implementation team to determine solutions during design phase.
- Develop and maintain architectural artifacts - Solution Concept Diagram, Value Chain Diagram, Contract/Measure Catalog, Business Footprint Diagram, Business Service/Information Diagram, Functional Decomposition Diagram, Event Diagram, Data Entity/Data Component Catalog, Data Entity/Business Function Matrix, Application/Data Matrix, Conceptual and Logical Data Diagram, Interface Catalog, Application Interaction Matrix, Process/Application Realization Diagram
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years technical solutions, SE, Technical Solutions Architect, or Solutions Architect
- Required working knowledge of an ERP system - Oracle 11 and newer is preferred.
- Very strong technical skills and solutions architect abilities related to ERP - Oracle Financials, Oracle CRM On Demand, Business Process Management tools, SOA or like SOA infrastructure
- Project estimating and budgeting experience
- Working knowledge of the Order Management Process - Sales contract, ordering, fulfillment, invoicing, financial application
- A strong understanding of the sales process, fulfillment (shipping and implementation) process, invoicing, GL, Revenue Recognition and SOX Compliance.
- Ability to translate technology features into business benefits.
- Experience working with BizTalk a plus
