Spectrophotometry & Imaging Demo Specialist required for a leading medical solutions company required to support the Sales team as the expert for their Spectroscopy and Imaging products. The post holder will be expected to be able to differentiate product offerings, convey compelling value propositions, qualify identified opportunities, develop and present proposals and quotations, and respond to customers' questions.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related subject, have excellent commercial acumen, have strong IT skills, have a passion for customer service and sales, be incredibly enthusiastic and eager to succeed, hold a full UK driving licence and have own transport as position will involve vast travel throughout the UK and Ireland.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Accountable to achieve the sales targets for UK and Ireland
  • Contribute to account plans in conjunction with Account Manager within the assigned territory/accounts.
  • In conjunction with relevant Account Manager, maintain strong business relationships, respond to key decision makers needs, record and maintain account contact records in the relevant CRM tools.
  • Maintain up to date detailed knowledge of product. Be able to present and discuss the technology and benefits in terms which are relevant to customers.
  • Differentiate assigned product offering during the various stages of the sales process to actively support the customer through their decision making process towards a successful outcome for GE.
  • Update and maintain opportunities in the applicable sales funnel tool and/or other product CRM tools

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Degree (or equivalent) or higher qualification in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related subjects
  • Full UK driving license and own transport
  • Willing to travel throughout the UK and Ireland with frequent nights away from home
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Used to working alone within a complex Matrix structure, must also be willing to work in a team environment
  • Excellent commercial acumen
  • Strong computer skills

Desired

  • Experience of working for an scientific instrument vendor
  • Strong relevant lab experience
  • Experience of some or all of the following techniques: Spectrophotometry, Flow Cytometry, Cell Imaging

Full training will be provided as you will become a product expert accountable to achieve the sales target for UK & Ireland.
