For our client located in the Hague we are searching for a consultant who will be responsible for establishing a service oriented infrastructure approach and a 3 year roadmap for service evolution.

Scope of the service

1. Assess the maturity of the current state of the service catalogue
2. Assimilate and refine the client objectives for services oriented infrastructure and the roadmap.
3. Conduct interviews with services owners to document delivered services
4. Map and categorize all technology within IT Service Catalog framework
5. Assess impact of IT strategy on service evolution
6. Conduct workshops with service owners to assess impact of IT strategy on specific services and incorporate in service evolution plans
7. Design processes for maintaining services information and production of service evolution roadmaps.
8. Produce metrics detailing key performance indicators and effectiveness of the Service Catalog and progress to target state
9. Propose an efficient and effective service catalog tool and document the integration with the client's enterprise architecture tools

Background

The client is moving to a services oriented infrastructure approach. For that purpose the services catalogue needs to be further developed and additional information needs to be gathered to enable describing the evolution of the infrastructure services in a 3 year roadmap.

Service Delivery

The client expects this service to be delivered starting September 3rd and finished at the latest December 14th. The service provider will decide about the number of resources required to deliver the service in time and according to the expected quality. The service will be delivered by people with proven experience in this area. The service catalogue comprises to data approximately 70 services with identified service owners.

Service Deliverables

1. An updated version of the service catalogue according to a predefined template
2. A 3 year roadmap for each service combined into an overall infrastructure roadmap
3. A process definition document describing the processes to ensure data quality and the periodic update of the service catalogue and the 3 year services roadmap

  • Broad infrastructure knowledge

  • Virtualization software: VMWare, Windows, Zen,

  • Data centre services: Power, Cooling
  • Knowledge of service catalogue tools

Technical writing skills

  • Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills to organize and conduct workshops
  • Ability to work in a small team and deliver against milestones
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language both oral and written.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture (TOGAF) for the transformation planning aspects
  • Integration of IT cost calculation with the service catalogue
