Next Ventures are currently executing a search for a skilled WebSphere MQ Administrator-for System administration and integration. The client is located in central Copenhagen ,this is a 6 months opportunity with option to extend.

Our clinet is looking for an MQ specialist who can perform system administration and specialist Application support of MQ and other Middleware technologies. You should be able to manage the entire Web environment, happy to coordinate with different development groups and provide technical consultation, facilitation and performance analysis to application development/Business teams.

Key skills and experience:

Responsible for all message queue and message broker related tasks on the BI program. This includes the communication with the Message Broker prime mover and the source system prime movers, in order to find solutions and solve issues.
Proven track record in setting up message queues in an IBM environment etc. - Administration of message queues

Performance tuning of MQ environment.
Queue Management
Using MQ utilities for Clearing, altering queues
Configure alerts for WebSphere MQ objects - queues, channels, queue managers, triggers
Queue Creations, Distributed queuing in different environments and OS
Handling Triggers, rules configurations, Troubleshooting errors
Using MQ utilities for Clearing, altering queues
Capacity planning of the environment
Clustering and Load balancing of Web/application Servers
Performance tuning environment
Expert on Java & Web Application run time environment
Knowledge of the J2EE Architectures
Deploy Application releases on QA and Production environment
Must have Very Good Knowledge in UNIX administration or Windows administration
Ready to handle all escalations
Experience in integration of various data sources like Oracle, SQL Server, Flat Files, DB2, XML files, Teradata, and MQ Series.

Desirable Skills:

Strong Experience with MQ master data systems in general
Strong test methods, planning skills, good communication skills.
Experience Web Services, MQ Series
Interface experience to/from SAP
Oracle/SQL
Java
Performance tuning objects

Server Technology skills (understanding):

Weblogic Server & Portal, JBoss, Oracle Service Bus, Oracle Business Process Manager, ILOG JRules, Apache

Operating System skills:

Linux, Solaris, Windows

Development Model & Tools:

Confluence, JIRA, Agile, Scrum, Kanban

Note: The team is managed using the agile/scrum method. The candidate will have worked in a similar development type environment ideally.

Good communication skills and proficient in English, both verbally and written.
At least 3 years development experience on WebSphere Message Broker 6.0/6.1,WebSphere MQ 6.0.

Scrum

Must have/mandatory skills:

Should have operational as well as good Datamodelling experience (ideally a nice to have).
Experience in UNIX/AIX
Good knowledge on databases like DB2.
Years of specific Experience with reference to Mandatory skills: 5 years
The ideal consultant will start work in 1-3 weeks maximum.
