The Company
You will be working as a Mid-Senior Java Developer within one of Australia's most innovative online networks. This organisation has over 20 websites which are targeted and built to reflect their client's needs and interests.
The Role
As a senior member of the Java development group, you will use your expert Java and team management capabilities to oversee a diverse cross platform group of Java/JSP developers with all levels of experience and skill sets. You will be responsible for the changes made to existing systems, and the migration into a new system for the greenfields project.
This is initially a 3 month contract, with a high potential to extend
Required Skills and Experience
As an experienced Mid-Senior Java Developer, you will have the following skills and experience:
- 4+ years solid development experience with OO Java/JSP in a dynamic, fast-paced application development environment
- Experience with Eclipse, MyEclipse, Subversion, Atlassian Bamboo, JIRA or Tango, Confluence, Maven 2, Hibernate, Spring, modern web frameworks (such as Struts 2, Spring MVC, JSF), JUnit, SpringMock, Selenium, JMeter, Log4J, Tomcat 5.5
- Strong experience within integration/Middleware
- Extensive experience working with 3rd party applications and APIs
- Extensive experience building within existing application framework
- Extensive experience with high scale, complex systems
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
