Media Planner/Buyer role
£ per day (potential perm salary of £28-33k after 3 months)
Duration: 3 months contract (potential perm role after 3 months)
Location: Suffolk

A media planner/buyer role on has arisen within a media organisation on a three month contract basis with the potential to turn into a permanent role after that time.

This role will be reporting Head of Comms Planning within the organisation and also with good links to the Head of Social Media.

Working within the organisations end clients including some fantastic blue chip, charity and SME organisations to develop with online strategy and spend, by providing experienced support and great results.

Detailed responsibilities will include:
To be responsible for final stage planning & full breadth of buying/trafficking including:

*Final stage planning, ie taking multiple high budget approved media schedules back to publishers to ensure spaces are available & if not, negotiating suitable adjustments, plus looking for added value based on expected media buys
*Buying processes, ie tasks including but not necessarily limited to: contacting publishers, negotiating rates/spend/added value, requesting insertion orders, confirming orders including internal processes, reconciling media orders, liaising with campaign management teams to define ad serving setup & trafficking rules, testing of creative, supply of creative to publishers, final sign offs, requests for live shots.
*Assisting the head of communications planning in preparing and presenting digital media strategies and plans
*Working with your campaign managers on supporting search strategy
*Identifying creative requirements and managing the creative process with the agency creative team & other external agencies
*Answering client questions and queries quickly and effectively
*Identifying new opportunities for the teams clients

Skills and qualifications required will include:

*Proven digital display experience is essential
*Mobile, search & video media experience is desirable but not a necessity
*Digital planning & buying experience, preferably gained in an agency environment - at least 2 years
*Practical experience and knowledge of planning and buying digital media campaigns
*A proven understanding of direct marketing techniques and approaches
*SEO & PPC knowledge is beneficial but not essential
*A proven record of understanding client strategy and how digital media can deliver this
*Experience of how online media interacts with offline would be beneficial
*An enthusiasm for emerging digital channels
*Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
