JOB TITLE
Cost Management Lead

LOCATION
London (Would consider someone based in Aberdeen who is willing to travel to London on a regular basis)

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
The Project Controls function is an important function within the Project Delivery organisation both in terms of supporting the Project Manager in the delivery of successful projects and ensuring governance and compliance with company standards.

The Function includes the roles of Cost Management, Planning and Performance Measurement, Risk and Opportunity Management and Project Reporting.

The role of Cost Management Lead is to ensure that Cost standards, systems and processes are properly adhered to and are maintained and improved as deemed necessary Across the Global Cost Management function.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- The business owner of all Cost Management related systems, ensuring that systems are properly maintained and upgraded as necessary, leading improvement projects for systems, maintaining manuals and training solutions, and ensuring data integrity.
- The business owner of all Cost Management processes, ensuring compliance to process, communicating and embedding process throughout the business units, maintaining and improving procedures as required.
- Ensuring that Cost Management standards are maintained.
- Overseeing the Cost Management elements of the month end process
- Maintaining good communications with the Cost Management function, including the team and functional Sharepoint sites
- To act as the global point of contact
- Supporting the separate business units with cost system roll-outs, upgrades or specific technical issues
- Assisting the business units with the development of their skills base in Cost Management
- Leading the Global Superuser team for Cost Management systems
- Oversee the development of a Cost Management solution for smaller/non-complex projects and deliver it to the business
- Manage the ongoing global roll out of Cobra
- Be the single point of contact in Project Services for the interface with SAP

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Working experience of Cobra (Cost Management System)
- Knowledge of SAP
- Strong Influencer
- Must be willing to travel to Aberdeen, Norway and odd occasions to Houston
- Understanding of implementing a cost management system
