Brief Vacancy Description:
This Financial Accountant's role has a strong treasury focus, but includes management reporting and financial accounting responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
* Producing the Weekly Cash and Borrowing report, including revaluation of the Group's debt, investments and derivative portfolio.
* Assisting the Senior Treasury Accountant with the month end accounting for Treasury activities, including accounting for FX gains and losses.
* Managing of the weekly collateral movements between Network Rail and its banking group to ensure Network Rail is covered against bank defaults.
* Reconciliation of bank account movements to the IT2 treasury management system.
* Liaising with Treasury Front Office and the Group's counterparty banks to confirm and ensure successful settlement of all trades undertaken by the Treasury Front Office (Misys system).
* Assisting the Senior Financial Accountant with the production of the year end and interim statutory financial statements and other regulatory reports.
Essential skills and experience
* Accounting or treasury system experience
* Bank reconciliation experience
* MS Excel and Word
Desirable skills and experience
* Newly qualified or nearly ACCA or CIMA qualified
* Ideally a finance oriented degree
* Treasury Back Office experience
