Employee Relations Consultant - HR Consultant - Financial Services - TUPE - Employment Law - Swindon

Location - Swindon, Wiltshire

Duration - 4 Months

Rate - £Market Rate

Our client, a Blue Chip Financial Services company is currently seeking the services of an Employee Relations Consultant to join them for an initial 4 Month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide employees of our client's UK companies with accurate, timely and practical advice, information and guidance on a range of HR employee relations issues including employment legislation and policy related matters.
  • To actively advise and support managers, and individuals where appropriate, in the resolution of sensitive and more complex employee relations issues.
  • To provide expert consultancy advice and support where appropriate, on legislative and employment related matters to HR and the Business. eg TUPE, Consultation, Change Management etc
  • To facilitate and/or run awareness sessions for Business Managers and HR to improve understanding and implementation of employment legislation and Company employment policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Respond to requests for advice, guidance and support etc in a timely manner using the most appropriate medium and information.
  • Provide confidential and independent advice and support to employees when and where appropriate
  • Work in partnership with, and provide expert consultancy advice to, business managers in the resolution of sensitive and complex employee relation issues.
  • Ensure that managers understand and apply the appropriate company procedures as required eg Disciplinary, Capability, Grievance etc
  • Work in partnership with, and provide expert advice to, HR on various business projects and initiatives.
  • Identify trends and contribute to, and help evaluate, policy development.

Feedback and assist in the development of existing and new HR policies and best practice, continuously seeking improvements and ensuring relevant business needs are met

Experience:

  • Graduate or equivalent
  • CIPD or equivalent
  • Demonstrable track record of working in employee relations field with an in depth knowledge of existing UK employment law legislation.
  • Experience of working in both a unionised and non - unionised environment.
  • Experience of working in the private sector and preferably in the Financial Services sector.
  • Good understanding of the ER issues in the external marketplace.
  • Clean driving licence
