Maintenance Engineering Consultant (Contract)

Our client is a leading global supplier of mechanical products to the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical sectors.

They require a highly technical Engineering Consultant who was excellent exposure to Maintenance Engineering business environments. You do not have to reside in or relocate to Aberdeen in order to be considered for this opportunity. This is a Long term day rate contract position with the potential to extend.

SUMMARY OF MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • To deliver Maintenance engineering (ME) offering to an onshore client.
  • To provide technical input within projects and in line with the processes and procedures of the ME department.
  • To be part of the team focussed on developing overall reliability services. The position requires the fulfilment of Maintenance Engineering projects to clients in the UK.

POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION:

  • Responsible to: ME Manager
  • Accountable to: ME Manager
  • Direct reports: None

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Interface

  • Carry out ME project tasks to the standard set down in the appropriate quality standards
  • Presentation to clients and prospective clients on methodologies and approaches
  • Knowledge of client requirements
  • Deliver project completion on time and on budget
  • Provide information to enable accurate project planning, monitoring and control
  • Budgetary Understanding
  • Attend technical review meetings as required
  • Be able to manipulate data in spread sheets and databases

Technical Requirements

  • Knowledge and application of products and services for Maintenance Engineering
  • Knowledge and application of current technologies and methodologies with specific emphasis on strategic application of Reliability Engineering techniques and services
  • Health& Safety Awareness
  • Completion of Technical Reports

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • CMMS population
  • Reliability and Availability Modelling (RAM)
  • Spares Analysis/Optimisation
  • Risk Based Maintenance (RBM) Methodologies
  • SIL Analysis
  • Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) methodologies
  • Failure Modes Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
  • Development of master equipment lists
  • Development of functional and equipment location hierarchies
  • Delivery of ME projects on time, in budget and in such a way as to meet client technical and quality requirements
  • Develop technical content for PMR's
  • Construction of CMMS routes
