Our client in Norcross, GA is looking for a User Interface Designer to join their team on a long term contract. 95% of the work can be performed remotely from a home office. There will be an occasional on-site meeting with users and managers in the Norcross office.

The User Interface (UI) Designer is primarily responsible for high-quality designs, graphics, mock-ups and layouts for both new and existing applications and creating a style guide.
Job Requirements
-The user interface designer will be responsible for designing the graphical assets needed to create a toolkit. Additional requirements:
- Collaborating with user experience (UX) information architects to translate wireframes into intuitive interfaces and interaction layers using best practices to achieve an optimal user experience.
- The toolkit graphical assets must be designed and optimized for easy hand-off to development:
Graphical assets needed may include:
o Buttons (Exit, minimize, help, standard buttons and various states)
o Ribbon Bar, tabs, group separators
o Ribbon Icons
o Dialog boxes
o Confirmation Message mechanism
o Warning message mechanism
o Define Typography guidelines and how to apply
o Dropdowns
o Accordion menu
o Toolbar and toolbar menu icons
o Toolkit style guide
o Splash page and logon screen
o Application desktop launcher icon
- Must have experience designing interface graphical assets for software applications, web interfaces.
- Experience designing for mobile devices would be a plus.
- Experience creating style guides and working with developers.
- Must be proficient in the use of Adobe Illustrator, Fireworks and/or Photoshop and then importing graphical assets into Expression Blend to optimize for the Microsoft Web Presentation Framework (WPF), working knowledge of CSS and HTML
- Knowledge and/or experience working with the Android or Apple Human User Interface Guidelines for mobile devices would be a plus.
- Must be a critical thinker.
- Candidate must provide work examples.
Education
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Interaction Design, Interactive Media, Interactive Design, Graphic Design, Web Design or Related Field.
