Due to significant growth in our business and project work, an exciting opportunity exists for a Citrix Specialist to join our team, to assist in minimising equipment downtime for our customers by employing a number of strategies such as:
Undertake development and preparation of client proposal and solutions
Provide design and implementation services to customers or Fujitsu groups (eg education planning, first and second-level product/service support, infrastructure planning and management
Coordination with the Production Support staff to ensure clarity and awareness of all activities and plans
Awareness and adherence to Fujitsu's service delivery processes and methods
Involvement in activities that enhance and grow Fujitsu's customer base
Assist the customer to identify business opportunities and Fujitsu-supplied products and services to address them

The purpose of the role is to undertake design and implementation of Messaging solutions with particular emphasis on Microsoft Messaging technologies such as Exchange Server 2010 and Lync 2010.

Windows Server/AD Environment.
Managed Operating Environment
Others as determined from time to time.

What do we want from you?

Experience
Troubleshooting, incident management and change management disciplines are essential.
Personal and communication skills are essential as negotiation with other Fujitsu support groups and Infrastructure Services customers,
Documentation of Proposals and Design. This is a substantial requirement, as they will be used for Production Support.
Equivalent of Systems Engineer status for three years

Technical Competencies

  • 3+ years' experience in use, development or implementations of technologies such as Windows R2 RDS & Terminal Services
  • Citrix XenApp skills and experience designing, installing, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting complex and large Citrix server farms
  • Skills in optimizing Citrix performance, scalability, security, high-availability, monitoring, printing, connectivity, group policy
  • Engineer-level skills supporting and troubleshooting the Citrix appliances such as:
    - NetScalers (desirable)
    - Branch Repeaters (desirable)
    - Access Gateway
    - Web Interface
    - Provisioning Server
    - Smart Auditor
  • Experience designing, implementing, & supporting Citrix XenDesktop (VDI) in both a VMware ESX and Microsoft Hyper-V/SCVMM environments
  • Hardware knowledge of all the components required for a successful delivery of a Citrix farm
  • Engineer-level skills supporting and troubleshooting the Citrix client in a heterogeneous environment (Windows, Mac, and iOS)
  • Administrator-level skills operating Microsoft Terminal Server/Remote Desktop Services (RDS) including rights and security configuration in a multi-user environment
  • 2+ years' experience in SOE design, development and implementation covering technologies such as MDT, BDD, Win 7, Win XP, Apple MAC etc.
  • Desktop management and deployment using CA Unicenter, Novell ZENWorks and MS SCCM
  • 1+ year(s) experience in Application Virtualisation such as App-V, Thin-App or XenApp
  • Application packaging and deployment methodologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems, and provide user support, as well as create reports and communicate to management
  • Time management skills to work with multiple projects at various stages of development
  • Strong Scripting capabilities in any language for Windows platforms.
  • Exposure to the processes of Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration Management.
  • Professional documentation skills for use in customer proposals, user training and technical documents.
  • General knowledge of varying Desktop, Laptop, PDAs, and printer hardware.
  • Solid experience in user support, user training or LAN administration.
  • Strong experience in problem resolution in a PC/LAN environment.
  • Good communication, both written and verbal.

Non-Technical Competencies
Energy and enthusiasm. This is a critical part of the role as it will involve differing levels or work and fluctuating volumes
Ability to manage workload & operational responsibilities is essential.
Ability to work well in a team, excellent verbal and written communication skills, proactive and reactive. Available to work within the operation hours of 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday and as requested after hours.

Qualifications

  • MCITP certification.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Messaging Applications (Exchange, Lotus Notes)
  • Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA)
  • Citrix Certified Administrator for Citrix Metaframe XP
  • Citrix Certified Administrator for Citrix XenApp
  • MSCE certification (preferred).
  • 5 or more years relevant industry experience within a Server Infrastructure environment.
  • Any relevant professional qualifications are considered a pro (MCP/MCSE , MOUS, A+)
  • TAFE college diplomas/certificates plus 2-3 years relevant experience in an enterprise environment or University degree plus 1-2 years relevant experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Any relevant professional qualifications are considered a pro (MCP/MCSE/MVP, CCA, CLP)
