Summary
Our Client is looking to recruit an experienced Software System Tester (BeSpoke). The role will involve planning, designing, and deploying effective test suites for in-house development of web-based applications and websites. The individual will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate, and resolve systems/software application issues through careful testing.
Responsibilities- Ensure that testing activities will allow applications or websites to meet business requirements, systems goals, fulfil end-user requirements, identify and resolve systems issues
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, support and end users in relation to the testing software applications and/or websites
- Ensure that any new software integration meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
- Evaluate, plan, design, develop, and deploy testing techniques for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product life cycles
- Create and execute test scripts, cases, and scenarios that will determine optimal system performance according to specifications
- Conduct all types of application testing as needed, such as system, regression and load testing methods
- Produce reports and documentation for all testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging, and tracking
- Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management
- Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-testing best practices
- Create, execute and maintain regression test scripts associated with our entire core Applications
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in software testing
- Experience of system testing and software quality assurance, best practices and methodologies, with a primary focus on web application testing
- Practical experience of automated testing, preferably using Test Studio
- Knowledge of Bug tracking tool JIRA desirable
- Substantial exposure to project-based work structures
- Experience of Agile methodologies (particularly Scrum)
- Hands-on mentality.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
