Within the Global Telecom team, Network Architects are responsible for the overall design, norms, standards and recommendations of the voice, Video & data networks that carry cross-business International services.
They are responsible for the overall roadmap of networking improvements and are accountable for providing network designs for new services.
They also provide guidance to the implementation teams to ensure that designs are implemented accurately.
Your job within the Global Telecom Team consists of the following main tasks:
1- Norms and Standards frameworks
- Provide technical direction and frameworks to meet business needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of standards, guidelines and industry trends for IP, Data and transport networking while promoting knowledge sharing within the general technical communities.
- Ability to use data and logic to successfully defend a professional viewpoint
- Create solutions/presentations and articulate to Decision and Executive boards
- Write architectural recommendation
2- Design and architecture
- Design and implement scalable, flexible and high available network
- Lead design, implementation and validation activities along with other staff members, ensuring that baselined business requirements are properly translated into systems implementation
- Collaborate with the overall organization and other Architecture teams in particular, to ensure that systems are flexible, scalable, secure and maintainable.
- Assist in scoping and costing of projects.
3- Escalation point
- Act as an escalation point within the Network Engineering and Network Operations groups and provide mentorship to more inexperienced engineers.
Language:
- You designed successfully in a large organisation a secure, reliable operable and flexible network
Technical experience:
- Mandatory: Certifications such as CCIE, and CCA (Cisco Certified Architect) are mandatory
- Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of IP routing and protocols such as OSPF, IS-IS and BGP.
- Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of layer 2 technologies
- A strong understanding of network security.
- Hands-on experience with Juniper, Cisco, F5 and or other Load Balancing including hardware appliances and software .
- WAN Acceleration knowledge and skills
- Voice/Video Over IP
- High availability design knowledge and skills
- Fluent in French and English
