Operational Risk Consultant
We are currently looking to resource a operational/ERM Risk consultant who will be working with a large Insurance company in Central London. We are looking for a hands on operational risk consultant who has experience within the insurance industry and has experience of reviewing existing policies and creating new policies to be Embedded across the group.
Daily duties/Responsibilities:
- To assist in the development and maintenance the Group's Enterprise Risk Management Approach across all risk classes.
- To assist in implementing a coordinated approach to risk management across the Group promoting and maintaining key risk and internal model policies and the overall risk management framework.
- To maintain excellent relationships with policy setters, key policy influencers and commentators, peer group Risk functions and consultants working in the Risk area.
- To promote a positive risk management culture across the Group.
- Review of Existing policies across the group.
- Development and maintenance of a robust risk management framework across the Group with delivery against plan.
- Risk Management policies, procedures and frameworks reviewed, improved and promoted.
- Evidence of business ownership and buy in via behaviour analysis and other relevant measures.
- Positive feedback from the business about the material provided to support understanding and usage of policies.
- Support the Head of operational/enterprise Risk in activities around validating compliance/adherence to policies.
- Policy and manual suite maintained and up to date.
Key/skills
- Knowledge and practical understanding of risk management theory and practice for financial service firms.
- Acumen and understanding of relevant insurance industry business models.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant industry regulations.
