Solutions Architect

Skills: Technical Solutions Architect, SOA, Order Management Process, Oracle a major plus (SAP okay), Biztalk or BigMachines a huge plus!

Summary:

The Solution Architect will be responsible for understanding our business partner needs, and designing the foundation for the order management process, leveraging current application stack where appropriate and recommending additional tools or replacement applications to meet the business needs within financial budget guidelines. This involves performing system and network modelling, analysis and planning to implement a recommended solution. Researching software and hardware products or services, and finding best solutions and prices to meet business requirements is a key requirement of this position. During the design phase, the SA will work with current development team and Quote to Cash program team to determine potential solution by translating the business requirements to the development/implementation team. The SA will develop architectural guidelines for the recommended solution as future growth guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7 years technical solutions, SE, Technical Solutions Architect, or Solutions Architect
  • Very strong technical skills and solutions architect abilities related to ERP - Oracle Financials, Oracle CRM On Demand, Business Process Management tools, SOA or like SOA infrastructure
  • Project estimating and budgeting experience
  • Working knowledge of the Order Management Process - Sales contract, ordering, fulfillment, invoicing, financial application
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project and Visio
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to approach others in a professional, tactful manner, react well under pressure, accept responsibility for own actions and follow through on commitments
  • Ability to translate technology features into business benefits.
  • Very strong consultative and communication skills, ability to listen, engage, negotiate and work with internal tenants to drive win-win solutions and realistic deployment plans, set and manage expectations
  • Effective customer service skills; able to work in a team-oriented environment, resolve conflict(s)
  • Excellent time management skills and organization skills; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Self-motivated and works well independently. Strong organizational skills and hands-on style.
  • Occasional travel
  • Occasional weekend and evening work as needed to support special projects
