Will aid in the characterization of recombinant mammalian cell lines.
Requires BS/MS in molecular biology or related field and at least one year of laboratory experience.
Must be familiar with DNA sequencing technologies and analysis of DNA sequencing data - multiple sequence alignments, identification of mutant sequences, in silico protein translation, etc.
Experience with molecular cloning techniques such as plasmid construction, preparation and analysis, RNA, cDNA and genomic DNA preparation, DNA electrophoresis, and Northern and Southern analyses would be a definite plus.
REQUIRED PERSONALITY TRAITS: team oriented, fast learner, good attention.
MOST CRITICAL SKILLS: DNA sequence analysis, PCR and subcloning techniques.
