Job Description:
Position Overview:
The Client Financial Analyst (CFA) is a finance operations role aligned to specific client portfolios with responsibility to manage the order to cash financial processes. The primary focus includes project and contract administration, revenue recognition in accordance with established financial policies, and client invoicing in a PeopleSoft financial application.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Client Financial Management: documentation of financial procedures and main point of coordination for all financial aspects related to assigned clients.
    -Functions as primary point of entry to corporate revenue processes in the order to cash life cycle which includes creating projects, analysing client contract, setting up revenue plans in accordance with financial policies, and client invoicin
    -Provides support to client, financial and business managers for client financial needs
    -Functions as point of entry to firm processes for project/contract set-up and maintenance
  • Revenue Recognition: ensuring sufficient evidence, project setup and maintenance, reviewing calculations for fee submissions and fee revenue entry.
    - Understands client agreements for assigned clients and applies understanding to revenue processes
    - Works with appropriate business partners to ensure the accuracy and integrity of client engagement financial data
  • Invoice/Payment Management: draft invoice preparation, review and validation, invoice revisions and approval with business partners.
    - Functions as primary point of contact for the client billing/invoicing process for an assigned portfolio of clients. This includes the creation of invoices based upon contractual requirements and engagement status, as well as mapping project results to the invoice line items.

Additional Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or business-related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of financial or analytical work experience
  • Prior experience in PeopleSoft applications, preferably version 8.4 or later in the Project Costing, Contracts, and Billing modules
  • Prior experience in large global corporation, preferably in a services/consulting industry
  • Experience in a corporate finance shared services organization with onshore and offshore team desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong partnering and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel), Windows and enterprise systems and applications
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively within a Matrix style organization and team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality, accurate work within tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a changing and developing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and follow standard policies, processes and procedures
