Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Quality Assurance Process Owner by participating and implementing effective test processes; maintain those processes by assessing the progress and effectiveness of the test efforts
  • Ensure that the testing team(s) have all the necessary hardware, software, environments, and training to prepare and execute tests
  • Work with QA Process Owner to plan all testing activities for assigned projects
  • Ensure the appropriate planning and management of the test resources
  • Ensure that the test team is adhering to the schedule and test plan
  • Identify/manage risks to the testing efforts and determine the appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Escalate risks and issues when appropriate to the QA Process Owner
  • Coordinate the proper technical and application support need for test execution
  • Prepare test progress and status reports  for the Project Management Group and Key Stakeholders
  • Testing deliverables
  • Responsible for  creation, delivery, and securing approval of the Test Plan document
  • Participate in Test Case Design
  • Writing
  • Reviewing
  • Approval
  • Responsible for creation, delivery, and securing approval of the Test Summary document
  • Ensure/participate in executing test cases
  • Serve as the Liaison between Test and Development
  • Work at the program/project level to participate in reviews (such as requirements and Design) and make test related recommendations.
  • Responsible for defect management process within the project

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5 to 6 years of Testing experience, with at least 2 of those years being in a Senior or lead position
  • Strong quality assurance background
  • Knowledge/Experience in performing all phases of testing: System/Functional, Integration, Regression, UAT, Performance, etc. 
  • Strong skills in defining and developing testing documentation, such as test plans and test cases
  • Strong QA analytical skills with an understanding of the SDLC
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Has  thorough knowledge and experience working within the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience writing SQL queries
  • Familiarity with operating systems:  Windows, .NET, WebSphere and Micro Focus Cobol
  • Understanding of developer ' terminologies

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with .NET Platforms is a plus
  • Experience with Automation tools such as QTP, ability to review/evaluate and participate in  developing an automation strategy
  • Experience with Quality Center
  • Experience with Supply Chain Management
