Project Manager
I. Position Overview
The project manager will perform the rollout of multi-function Xerox devices project in a phased approach working closely with project coordinators in Los Angeles and New York. The initial phase will be to replace and purchase new network printers per the contract to realize the company savings. Phase two will include implementing advanced features.
The ideal PM will have a good working knowledge of modern printing technology, and will have demonstrable experience on complex infrastructure projects.
Some travel to New York with be required.
II. Responsibilities
Responsible for managing projects within the project timeline and budget. This includes the preparation and development of project charters, scope documents, schedule, implementation, rollouts and turnover to production as defined by client.
Perform pre-project analysis for technical requirements when necessary
Develop project timeline and implementation schedule
Oversee project implementation with cross functional groups and manage all aspects of scope change, quality assurance, project risks, communications and project issues. Escalating for resolution where appropriate
Provide weekly status reports to project sponsor/client, team members and IT management
Facilitate project status meetings with other project team members and business contacts
Manage projects to ensure they are effectively executed in terms of time, money, resources and quality
III. Skill Requirements
Proven expertise in managing and implementing complex Infrastructure projects using formal project methodologies
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, clients and other IT groups
Working knowledge of modern printing devices
Proficiency in using MS Project, MS Office and Visio
Excellent analytical, written, communication, and organizational skills are required.
IV. Experience and Education
Four years of prior related project management experience plus a minimum 8 years technical experience
BS in Computer Science, Business or related field
PMP Certification or education in process to achieve certification is a plus
