JOB DESCRIPTION:
Client's Availability Services Group will provide world class testing and quality assurance services to the regional and national technology projects. There is an immediate opening for a dynamic and best in class QA & Test Automation Engineer who likes to work in an exciting, challenging and fast-paced environment.
The QA & Test Automation Engineer, as member of Availability Services group, will conduct automation testing and quality assurance activities for the local and national projects underway in the different regions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Developing automation scripts in working with developers, test team members, and business Subject Matter experts to design automation scripts.
Executing and updating automation scripts test cases via automation tools and/or programming.
Storing and developing repository of the developed automation scripts for regression testing.
Reporting detailed test results of automation scripts completion, failure, and blocked rate.
Devising ways to automate operational procedures that are manually done in Unix based type environment, database type environment, networking type environments, and storage type environments.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or field and/or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Testing working in Automated environments.
Hands-on experience with design, development, and implementation of testing procedures; creation of automated test plans, automated test cases, and automated test results to support testing objectives.
Experience with implementation of quality assurance and testing methodologies, processes, standards, and tools. Looking for someone with insight and creativity utilizing their past automation skills experience.
2 years experience working directly with data center test driven environments.
2 years experience with a variety of technologies within continuous availability solutions levels, of but not limited t networking, storage, database, and/or applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in UNIX type environments along with some SQL based queries would be an enormous plus.
Experience with test automation, such as QTP, Selenium, and respective tools' language or using programming language like Perl, Java, etc.
Previous work experience at various technology levels such as networking, storage, database, applications.
In depth knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies and how they relate to different methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall and how testing is conducted within each phase of development.
Experience working in IT Systems related to HealthCare Industry.
Understanding of Availability Services to include but not limited t OLTP (online transaction processing), Shadow Latency, Cache Tasks, Instances, Journal Size, Domain Name Server, daemons, throttling, etc.
Understanding of Components to include but not limited t EMFI, Mychart, Affiliate Link, CareEveryWhere, EPIC Hyperspace, etc.
