eProcurement Business Project Manager 3 - 6 Month Contract

This leading employer in Milton Keynes is currently seeking to hire a contract eProcurement specialist to project manager the procurement and implementation of a new E-procurement system.
Candidates will have experience of managing business change projects particularly focussed within Procurement. The eProcurement Business Project Manager role is to ensure that the eProcurement project is delivered efficiently within timescale and budget and to an appropriate quality. The role will achieve this by following structured project management techniques and by directing a number of work streams to ensure that quality and delivery standards are consistently applied. This role will work closely with an assigned IT Project Manager.
The eProcurement Business Project Manager role includes structuring, planning, leading and executing a business change project which includes selection of an appropriate eProcurement solution, design of compatible purchase-to-pay business processes, trial/pilot operation then full roll-out to a potential community of several hundred users across the business. Achieving the expected business benefits from the project requires effective engagement with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Essential Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience of successful management of a similar business project from solution procurement through to benefits realisation
  • Proven experience of decision-making in a complex environment.
  • Proven experience of developing and maintaining good and effective relationships with senior stakeholders and sponsors
  • Experience of working in a Matrix environment, directing and co-ordinating staff without direct authority, including where required staff of higher grade
  • Proven experience of developing and maintaining good and effective relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Proven experience of contracting with and effectively managing Third Party suppliers.
  • Experience of working within OJEU tendering frameworks would be an advantage.
