Description

A reputable unitary authority based in the East Midlands currently requires an Interim Finance Project Manager to implement an integrated debtor module into the Council's financial management system.

This role follows the recent implementation and upgrade using the ABS system (formerly Cedar Open accounts) to include an integrated income, budget planning and E-procurement system.

The successful candidate will lead on the reduction of costs and will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of all aspects of the debtor process. You will be required to implement an automated end-to-end process for debt management in order to achieve this, ensuring that the new module is integrated into the financial management system. You will also be required to review the councils plan and make recommendations for improvements.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing Accounts Receivable process improvements within a local government setting and will have demonstrable experience of implementing an end-to-end process for debt management within a Council.

Strong working knowledge of the ABS product and/or other similar systems is strongly preferred for this role and an accountancy qualification is essential (AAT or above).

On offer is the opportunity to join a forward-thinking local authority with ambitious plans for future change.

If you meet the above criteria are immediately available, please email your updated CV, along with 2 references or call Simone Ross, Head of Corporate Services.
