Configuration Management Engineer - The Hague
Candidates MUST have ITIL experience and a CCNA. English is a requirement, Dutch language skills are desirable. The CMAT Engineer will deal with customer requests to retrieve and store technical data as well as corrective actions and process improvement.

Educational Background:
Graduation from a three year MBO with major course work in Information Technology, Telecommunications or any equivalent combination of experience or training. Work Experience: Must have a minimum of 3 years of IT experience and a track record of achievement in a technology driven, multi-national environment with an emphasis on Data, Voice and Internet Services. CCNA certification; must have a basic understanding of networking technologies. Must have experience with the ITIL Process Approach and other Business Process optimisation methods. General knowledge of TCP/IP, hands-on experience of Telnet/SSH client, and basic UNIX commands. Knowledge of Cisco equipment, Visio 2002 professional. Good team player with the ability to initiate and maintain strong relationships with other sub-process peers. Good communications skills incorporating the ability to have effective relationships with other teams and to govern change at all times. The disciplines of a good IT training-ground combined with the ability to function in a dynamic and informal environment. Awareness of Cost Management.
MAIN ROLE:
To register, identify and maintain new and existing elements in the Configuration Management Database (AssetCentre/GPS), network drawings (MS Visio) and related systems (reporting tooling) with the aim of (1) minimizing Incident- and Problem follow-up, and (2) optimizing the overall Configuration Management process; both at the lowest possible costs. Work closely with the Configuration Management Process Manager and peers to identify and/or develop improvements to the CM Asset Registration & Control Process in order to maintain or to improve adherence to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA).
MISSIONS/TASKS:
Directly responsible for the correct and timely identification, reservation and creation of new and existing elements in the Configuration Management Database (AssetCentre/GPS), network drawings (MS Visio) and related systems (reporting tooling). This activity is mainly driven by the number of requests received in the Line Item Queue under the CM Task-group. Directly responsible for the correct and timely follow-up of all ad-hoc corrective actions initiated by the Asset Verification & Audit process (CQAT); Output from Data Record Discrepancy (DRD) analysis. Directly responsible for the correct and timely follow-up and execution of all email correspondence arriving at the CM email box.
