Job Title: QA/UAT Lead

We are seeking experienced QA/UAT Lead to manage complex, global initiatives across Sales, Sales Support, Order Management and Operations. Candidates will be responsible for managing cross-functional and cross-organizational User Acceptance Testing to test, build and roll-out innovative technology and business process solutions that increase efficiencies, improve customer satisfaction, and drive revenue. The QA Lead will have a deep understanding of the business process and drivers for change. Using process knowledge, the Business Requirement Document (BRD), and functional expertise, the QA Lead will ensure quality checkpoints are established and is responsible for managing the user acceptance testing process to ensure the business receives working software that supports the business requirements according to the project scope outlined in the BRD along with any change requests. The candidate need to have exceptional QA/UAT skills, a maniacal attention to detail, and a proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leverage industry trends, best practices, and leading-edge technology and process improvement on UATs
  • Build and maintain regression script libraries that can be leveraged across projects for testing scalability.
  • Participates in technical and functional design meetings to ensure requirements are clearly defined and testable
  • Ability to identify and write test scenarios, test cases and scripts as needed
  • Ensures the existence of development and test environment standards
  • Responsible for the management and execution of detailed test plans to verify software functionality and adherence to business requirements.
  • Responsible for test project status reporting, defect tracking and risk assessments
  • Coordinates with assigned IT, Project Manager, Business Analysts, Operations, Product Support and Development members to deliver a solid platform for the business users to conduct UAT
  • Supports release deploys and production issues to ensure customer satisfaction and success. Participate in Systems' Deployment/Cutover and Readiness activities.
  • Develop and maintain key UAT documentation to ensure the proper amount of structure is applied to enable project success (ie UAT Kickoff, UAT Planning, etc)
  • Gather and synthesize detailed, global business requirements and design specifications
  • Facilitate project-related testing, roll-out, and lessons learned work
  • Provide innovative leadership in implementation of improved/standardized QA techniques
  • Influence and direct project teams to follow the defined approach/processes within WW Ops BPR
  • Prepare detailed schedules with target dates for deliverables, prioritizes and monitor activities
  • Provide timely updates and elevate critical risks to project, management and senior-executive teams
  • Measure and track testing results in test management tool
  • Act as a liaison between the business teams and IS&T to ensure that the business requirements are complete and met by the proposed technology solutions
  • Provide functional subject matter expertise.

Other Skills:

  • Proven track record of leading strategic projects combined with the ability to execute at tactical project-level activities and tasks
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in project and process management. Minimum of 5-7 years experience
  • Proven experience as a change agent having effectively implemented change in large cross functional organization
  • Large Cross Functional project experience
  • Proven experience working effectively in a matrixed, global organization
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, third-party providers, and technologies
  • Experience working on projects for teams based globally
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and business process re-engineering skills along with a maniacal attention to detail
  • Ability to work with ambiguity
  • Self-motivated, driven individual who is comfortable working in a global, matrixed, fast-paced environment
  • Deep understanding of quality assurance and testing practices within the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Some travel may be required, both domestic and international
  • BS/BA or equivalent degree
  • The Soft Skills for this Candidate are Critical for this role.
  • The Candidate needs to be concise & articulate, able to both lead & drive/motivate the business side.
  • The Client wants the candidate to be able to articulate senerios in that past demonstrating this in his previous roles.
