My client, a Local Authority in the Midlands is looking to engage an interim consultant to support them in developing commissioning strategy, with a particular focus on older people's services. This is a key role for the Council as they are going through a period of significant transition and require additional support.

The role will look at the commissioning strategy for older peoples services with emphasis on the transition from acute settings to more social care based provision - for example the delivery of 'step down' beds to reduce the time spent in acute care.

The ideal candidate for this role will have significant experience of commissioning; preferably with experience of older peoples services. You will also have knowledge of collaborative working and good change management skills. This opportunity would suit someone who has operated at management level and is looking to provide strategic support to shape the future model.

This role sits within a Local Authority, however applications are welcomed from candidates with a background in Health.
