hyphen is recruiting on behalf of a major blue chip financial services client for an Oracle DBA to be based on-site in London for 6 months
Our client is recruiting for a Oracle DBA with the following skills and experience
Technical Knowledge:
* Oracle 10g & 11g database server administration - installation, backup and recovery, performance management, capacity planning, upgrade, patching, trouble-shooting and problem solving.
* Oracle Networking, including SQL*Net.
* Oracle client software management (installation and configuration of SQL*Net, runtime libraries and development/DBA tools)
* Exposure to Oracle Applications R11 (Specifically GL) is highly desirable.
* PL/SQL
* Oracle Dataguard
* Shell Scripting
* Analytical thinker
Other Required Skills:
* Actively contribute to the identification of service improvement and operational effectiveness.
* Work alongside project teams in ensuring prompt delivery.
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues throughout the Division.
* Make sure that the work is carried out in a manner that maintains the DBA team standards.
* Provide out-of-hours support as part of an on call rota.
* Work over some weekends and UK bank holidays
* Work on a shift rota covering 7:00am - 7:00pm
