Hyphen has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Project Manager working for our exclusive banking client on a 6 month contract based in London.

As a Senior Project Manager you will be ideally PRINCE 2 or equivalent with a background in the financial services and preferably worked for a large bank. You will have proven project management abilities and also strong Matrix management skills.

The successful candidate will need to respond to changing requirements and dependencies across a number of work streams and will be required to manage multiple development teams and applications with a multi million pound budget.
Life and pension knowledge and experience within the financial sector are essential for this particular role as well as knowledge of business Change.

*Significant experience in leading large complex, transformational, cross-divisional programmes and major change initiatives.
*Proven success in leading projects/programmes with significant impact on Divisions and/or Group through the whole project life cycle delivering to time, cost, quality and benefits realisation.
*Expert knowledge of project management disciplines, standards and processes.
*Excellent relationship, influencing skills and experience of managing multiple and diverse stakeholder groups.
*Excellent communication skills.
*Credible performer in Senior Executive forums.
*High performing leader of virtual and actual teams.
*Recognised leader, coach, and mentor.
*Strategic planning skills.
*Qualification (or equivalent experience) in management and/or formal project management qualification.
*Experience of running a high-performing team including Line Management, managing service against KPIs etc.
*A proven track record in managing colleagues in a Performance Management based environment.
*Ability to provide career leadership and performance management for senior experience project management colleagues within a geographically diverse organisation.
*Ability to lead, inspire and motivate a wide cross-section of people from different backgrounds and make them feel a valued member of the team and motivated to deliver their best performance while ensuring delivery standards are maintained.

General/Business Skills
*General understanding of the Financial Services/Life and Pensions sector
*Excellent communication skills - written and verbal. Able to communicate clearly and confidently with business users, development teams, test management and team members
*Initiative and flexibility
*Able to work to tight project timescales, flexible approach to working hours where necessary
*Delivery focused, with a "can do" attitude.
