Description
Working as part of our multi-disciplined Development team you will support the migration of engineering design drawings from legacy electronic and mechanical CAD systems to our new PLM based system.Main Responsibilities
-Migrating existing mechanical 3D models to a new 3D CAD package
-Recreate 2D drafting views from migrated data
-Input electronic component datasheets & information into a new PLM system
-Ensure component information is correctly stored
-Adhoc duties as required by the design team
Qualifications
-CAD/Drafting qualifications
Skills & Experience
-High level of general computer literacy
-Ability to understand engineering drawings and product structures
-Experienced CAD user, ideally NX or IDEAS
-Basic knowledge of electronic component types
-Excellent communication skills; high level of verbal and written English
-The ability to work to tight timescales in a challenging environment
